OK, I'm not being lazy here; I've run the search several times, looked on eBay & googled it. Anyone out there know if SOMEBODY makes a MATTE(flat black) Tank Protector(Pad?)? I'm referring to the strip that protects from buckles & such, not the wrap around stuff.

I do NOT want anything to do with Carbon Fiber. [down]NO CARBON FIBER[down]. Geeze, never understood the point of having ONE piece on a bike made to look like carbon fiber when the rest of the bike is all glossy or flat black??[confused]

Anyways, with the black 1125CR, a MATTE(flat black) tank protector (tank pad) would look pretty rad. Any ideas of where one might get one? Thanks for any info!

Stomp Grips sells clear. Check this thread (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/General-Motorcycle-Chat/I-want-CLEAR-airbox-grip-pads)

Stomp Grips sells clear.

I wonder how the clear ones painted would hold up? Rattle can? Is there some kind of paint out there that would adhere to a rubbery surface?

SEM Paint. Get it at an autobody supply shop. Works good on vinyls/rubber/plastic[up]

Stomp grip also offers black, I might go with this if I don't do the carbon one.
