This week only, $849 + shipping for an unpolished RT-4. Sale on it will end Sunday night. Regular price is $899/shipping. Polishing is an additional $79.
Please note, I will not have time to complete any new orders until after Homecoming. I'm booked up all the way through until the day I leave and I'm trying to get everyone's pipes out to them if I can.
All orders placed will get the materials ordered, so it will be sitting here for me to start welding when I get back.

More fun from the dyno room at EBR. I got to see the Drummer get a full tune and then put mine up on it with their base map and no adjustments. The Drummer peaked out at 122-123 hp on the Superflow dyno.
Dynojet reads about 12% higher, so you can go from there. 122 hp on a superflow = 136-137 on a dynojet.

Are you saying that your RT-4 put down 122 also?
d_adams
06-20-2010, 04:28 AM
Yup, without any adjustment from their base race cal. There's more in it, how much I don't know, but it was still lean above 6k rpm. I think the base cal gets about 118 hp, the DSB spec cal is about 120 and the Drummer was tweaked out to 122, which says a LOT. Mine hit that without any tweaking though. :)

Dang topping off at nearly 20+hp and 35torque higher than stock [up][up]
d_adams
09-15-2010, 01:11 AM
It's not that much. 17 hp, maybe 13 ft/lbs torque. The scaling for torque is on the right side. There's some spots where hp is 20+ but peak wasn't quite that much. This isn't a correctly tuned map and it wasn't the highest one in the shootout either. I just used this one as an example for someone a little while back. My other pipe had a little more hp and almost the same for torque.
You do beautiful metalwork! Either you do it for a living, or have devoted a great deal of tim e to you r welding past time. I am interested in the aftermarket ECU you use. Is it very tuneable and with whay a laptop and included software or is it a thing where they program it and snail mail it to you?
Looking forward to hearing back

I don't do this full time, but I definitely put in some time with my tig welder. I probably average 25-30 hours a week building these. Maybe 1/2 of that time is spent welding.
www.ebracing.com for a race ecm @ $250. Pre-tuned for what you want. Talk to Michael at ebr.

damn that is awesome...
i was thinking of making something similar for my XB12SS but low on funds so just hacking up an old XB12R race muffler.
my welding wouldn't be nearly as good as your masterpiece...

It's here. I guess this means I've now officially arrived as far as being an exhaust builder? I sooooo wish I could post that chart. It's definitely making more than what was posted in the American Sport Bike exhaust shootout. It's finally here and it was certainly worth the wait!
They're planning on testing the RT-1 with this tune I assume to verify it's close enough to use on them all. Since the collector design is the same on them all, it should work with minimal changes if any are needed at all.

Ok, got mine on, took it in and the RT-3 tune does NOT match the RT-4 pipe. I will send it off to http://www.EBRAcing.com/to have it tested amd tuned. I know the mapping was off between cylinders by several points, so the split does drastically change the way it runs. More info will follow later as I get it. For now, RT-4 owners should stick with the standard race cal.

Good to see it has come full circle. Good luck! [up]

04-02-2011, 03:54 AM
Yeah, it's full circle all right. I had to suspend ordering again and it's pretty early in the season. I'm not going to let it go out as far as I did last year (10 weeks lead time) so if you're wanting one, you'll just have to send me an email for now to get in line. Once I get caught up some, I'll send out emails or phone calls to allow orders.
I gotta get some better equipment, I'm looking at getting a much better band saw than what I currently have. I had an Ellis 1600 recommended to me, so I'm hunting for one now. I didn't really want to throw down $2500 on a new one, so we'll see.

Orddring is back on again, I upgraded. New, it lists for about $4k as it sits. I'm into it for about $2200 with new bearings, spare blade and some other misc parts.

Have the same model at work and hate it, hydro control all the way by the head makes it a pain in the ass bending over to adjust speed. My friend has the larger model with controls above the on/off switch. But any bandsaw is better than no bandsaw.

interested in a RT-4, what kind of turn around can I expect if I were to order now? also is there a EBR tune out for the RT-4 yet?
d_adams
05-19-2011, 12:30 AM
4 weeks, maybe a little less. No tune yet for the RT-4, they've been busy and they said they had maybe 12 pipes there to be tuned. I guess everyone is sending stuff in now. I have 3 more to send them besides the one they have. They're also kinda busy with the 1190, so I really don't know when they'll get anyone's stuff done.

How much more power does the 4 make over the 3? Ask whether it would be worth the added cost for Nitto and not having a ECM specific for that pipe as of now. Also how much lighter is the 3 over the 4?
d_adams
05-19-2011, 01:59 AM
Power is pretty much the same, although the RT-4 sounds different, especially at idle. It's more of a design choice than anything, just depends on what you want really. There's about a 4.5 lb difference, maybe a smidge more. I've been building a lot of RT-2 & 3 pipes lately for some reason. The current backlog is 8 or 9 pipes I think. Things have picked up some, so life is good. Now I just need more hours in the day so I can ride some myself.

I vote for the RT-3 for ya Nitto, same power less weight, cash, and map time.... All add to good stuff in my book, plus you can use the added money and time to put towards other go-fast stuff.
Jump into the convo hell took it over but just my thoughts[up]

I'm thinking RT-2 then w/curved tips. Is there any way you can tuck the RT-2 in better like you do on the 3 and 4 or does the shape not let you?
d_adams
05-19-2011, 04:43 AM
The belt and guard is the restriction on how high up it will go for an RT-2. Give me a call if you need to. Number is on my website.

Would like the outlets like this pipe, but I would like you to try and tuck the muffler at a angle if possible.

I like guys like you. Make a decision and then pull the trigger.
Thanks for the order. :)
