When I shut the engine off- After the cooling fan stops, and after the pipes stop crackling and it is quiet in the garage, I hear a very faint beeeeeep. This happens about every 20 - 30 seconds and the beep is about 3, 4 seconds long. This has only happened twice since new but wondering what it is and if it is something to be concerned with (like running the battery down).
Anybody else hear this?

Yes, mine does it too. It is the fuel pump making those noises, it is normal.

Does it sound like a very high pitched beeping noise and very faint? Because mine does the same thing. I was also worried about it draining the battery down. Its the same sound when you switch the ignition to run before you start it.

So does anyone know what that is that is making that noise, and why it happens for about ten to 15 minutes after shut down.?

Perhaps it's your pager? Did you leave it in your tank bag?

huh... I thought for a while it was the low battery warning on the smoke detector.
No but really.. I went back out into the garage about an hour later and it was still doing it. Eventially stopped. So if you guys say its normal, I won't tear into it to find it.

It is normal. I noticed mine doing it today for the first time. If you listen closely, you can hear a whirring sound after the beep. It is the fuel pump. My best guess is to keep fuel pressure in the line so you don't get vapor lock if you try to restart it while it is hot.
