1st street bike, bought it wrecked. Let a buddy ride it the 1st day I had it done, he crashed it. I repaired it, again. When I was trying to sell it the guy crashed while on a test drive. He bought it.

As you can see I really like old Honda's. They are great for poor college students. I would buy them cheap and ride them till they broke then sell them off.

I rode the first BMW for more than 10 years and no telling how many miles. All over the US and Mexico.

I owned several race bikes but for a few years I raced other peoples bikes. Those are the best bikes to ride.

The Buell is my favorite, but I have loved every bike for what it was. The Honda 1000RR was so fast and they have electronic steering dampers on them that come on after a certain mph, can't remember exactly, but they work sooooo good over 80mph.

polished the rims, resprayed tank, recovered and upholstered seat, performance slip on, carbon look bikini fairing - did 36 000km in 3 years

then a 99 SRAD 750 (FI model) - great bike, but developed electrical problems which nobody could solve!

Powdercoated the white rims black and added orange stripes - the Shoei helmet is also my current helmet.

then entered into twins last year August. got a 2006 ER6N with 6000km on clock. changed handle bars to flat drag bars, removed rear pillion handles, added Scorch performance slip on, new mirrors and MRA screen for wind. great bike for city riding - loves to be revved!

but it was just too small (physically) and opted for a bike with semi-offroad and touring capabilities (anything except BMW) and settled on the Buell! :)

I've always loved those SRADs. I really want a gsxr750 and I'd love one of those models. I love the shape but I feel like after riding around with people on newer bikes all the time I'd start to feel like I needed something newer, that's the problem with japanese sportbikes.

i loved the SRAD! was comfortably doing 240km/h with mo steering damper running smooth and straight! loved those shapes as well - was contemplating a TL1000R after the SRAD - they sound too good! but they are hard to find, more than 10 years old and going for slightly cheaper than i bought the Buell...

I hate the way styling is going with newer superbikes. I've always loved the way GP bikes looked becuase they still have a few curves and it doesn't look like someone just had a seizure while they were using a protractor. I'd buy one if I always rode by myself, but I know that I'd start to think it looked too outdated after I parked it next to my friends bikes too many times. As a former commuter, the storage inside that tail just drives me nuts though.

Always loved the TLRs too, saw one this morning on my way to work. Physically they're just too big of bikes for someone my size.

I bought my 1st bike off a friend for $100, it was a Bridgestone not exactly sure what year it was but it looked alot like a '69. It was stripped of all unnecessary stuff to be used off road.

I wanted a VFR750R before i bought my XB9. they were cheaper and more commonplace making one seem like an easier "dream." When i went with my father to pick up his windshield for his 99 SuperGlyde, i fell in love with the shiny 2003 XB9S on the dealership floor.

Overall, i have really only had 3 bikes.

My wife has an 07 SV650, which is her first bike. I'm really considering selling my Buell to buy an SV for myself. She's reworked her forks already, and has a Penske shock coming soon, and a brake overhaul (SS lines, Vesrah pads and possibly GSXR calipers) is planned for this winter. I expect it will handle and brake on par with my firebolt after the work, and I really prefer the SV engine. If her chassis lives up to expectations, I'll be selling the Buell to buy an SV and some suspension parts next year. Erik did a fantastic job of pulling useable power out of the xb motors, but I still don't love it.

Most of my bikes were bought wrecked fixed and sold. Most of the ones listed are still in my garage... I usually don't keep bikes for very long. Just got backed up. Recently picked up a 72 Kawasaki 125 enduro last week. Cool little bike. About to finish up on the 82 Xj 650 turbo I've had sitting in the corner for the last year. I'm excited to get that thing on the road.
