blast rear axle

i took off my rear tire on my 03 blast the guy that had the bike before my rode it with the rear bearings screwed up broke the caliper mount and messed up the rear rim i found a rim caliper mount caliper it looks like someone did some welding on the rear axle i was wondering if i should get a new axle or use this one it is straight i was just thinkin they might have weaken the axle since welding on it just seeing what everyone else thought

anyone have a coupon code for buellster ?? do yall think i should just get the bracket and caliper or a whole assembly for the rear it doesnt seam to b damaged just the bracket was broke
