So, put down a reservation for the new 2011 Ducati 848 Evo. Selling the Bolt the end of the year. Its time to move on. Mebbe another Buell will be in my future, but thas up to EBR.

I test rode a 848 at Ducati Omaha when they first came out! (I was riding my 1991 EX500 at the time) DAMN, what an awesome bike! I was so tempted to put myself into debt and walk away with that bike that day. I thought better of it though and walked away. I wish we could have went for a longer ride but there were more demos scheduled that day! Have fun on it man! That new black EVO is TITS! [up]

I like the uly style, upright position, what will fill those shoes? Im not able to afford a new bike anyway, still upside down on payments as I bought my uly 1 month before the fold of Buell. I still love the bike, but not the circumstance around Buell.

Let me say with y 30+ years of experience. rode both 11 and the 848 nicky hayden. let me say one of the best handling and looking bikes ive ridden. motor performance SUCKS. Along with maintance, CONSTANT. my R6 will smoke the 848 and with a little tuning will hang with the 11. I know this is not the popular opinon but just my 30 years of riding. IF you want an italian/european bike go with the MV or the aprilia. Ducati's are like supermodels really nice to look at but and really high maintance, but once you get on one their not much different than your old girlfriend.

That's a nice looking bike - Love that color. Where are you going to purchase it? I knew the owners of the Ducati dealership in Bremerton, bought a few bikes from them years ago. I believe Jeff still owns it.
I think I've seen you bike on S. Columbia Street a few times. Always liked that bike. If I didn't have mine (XB9SX), I wouldn't mind having yours...

Beautiful bike, probably the next addition to my motorcycle collection. Ride safe and hopefully come back to Buell someday!

You ride the black lightning I see heading up and down Ferry street?
Totally jealous of that pipe, I always turn around expecting to see some harley and get an eye full of black lightning.

No, not mine. I have a Cherry Bomb Red Lightning - here she is at work this morning:

Iv ridden an older 748 and was thinking the same thing kinda. But the 848 EVO is putting down more HP and torque than the Duc 999. From what I understand the Evo is basically a hyped up engine from the older models, all at the same price as the normal 2010 848 =D
