Pull the dipstick on the left side of the swingarm to check the level.

buy a service manual or visit a dealer.

im 4 hours from the nearest dealer, i just bought the bike and i put it in storage because it is still winter in north ontario, hopefully when its in a heated garage it will start, ill do an oil change and put some new gas, it look tricky to change the spark plug even, ill try to get a manual for sure

Try Charging battery?
I had the same issue, stored it for winter, wouldn't crank until i slow charged the battery, after that I haven't had any issues. Make sure you take it for at least a 5-10 mile ride at varying RPM's so the battery has enough time to recharge the drain put on it from starting....

Does it turn over or make a clicking sound?

Fouled plug = common problem = get used to it [smirk]

fidosol, problem is a month old...he probably already has it fixed :p;)
if the bike is in winter storage, it's best to put it on a battery tester/loader.

Probably, but figured I'd chime in just in case, only had dirtbike experience prior to my buell which is why i got the 9 and not the 12. So didn't know what a tester/loader was until i started having problems in january...It's all good now, It's a crisp 36 degrees outside and I rode my bike into work last night, so here in about 28 minutes when i ride home I'll be nice and umm...awake?
you should check out icon's 13 jacket.

i just had the same problem with my 06 12. turns out i fouled the plugs. i let it idel too long with out riding it and the next time i went to start it it wouldn't. i'm new to buells too and i hear its a very common problem.
