Hello all. Over labor-day weekend i was able to install my GB exhaust onto my 2010 xb12ss. This is the first mod for the bike; everything else is stock. I must say the only problem during installation wasn't George's fault. I couldn't gain access to a nut of the end of a bolt for the front exhaust mount due to the oil filter. I Tried getting it loose for about 2 hours before giving up and deciding to try to chisel away the nut. Well after another two hours and loosing the feeling in my hands, I decided to no longer try to salvage that mounting bracket and cut through it.
George was a very stand-up guy and was never shy to answer any questions i had. From the day i ordered, it took about 3.5 months to get the product to my door. The installation notes that George follows really are the best way to do it so if you're thinking of doing it on your own I wouldn't suggest it.
The welds on the pipe are good. They aren't asthetically amazing by any means, but they obviously aren't done by some kid in a high-school shop class. Given the location of the pipe and the lack of visability, i'm 100% okay with how the welds look. If you take the pipe off and examine it closely you can tell the welds aren't perfect.
I have no experience with any other pipe other than the stock one. Personally, i love the sound of the GB exhaust. It's what i consider perfect: Not necessarily loud, but powerfull sounding. It is loud, but it's not ONLY loud. It sounds good enough to where its very believable that the exhaust is Buell made. The bike runs like it's a Buell made exhaust too. Without changing ANYTHING the bike still runs flawlessly, just like it did with stock exhaust. No decell popping or anything of the sort.
Overall, i'm very happy with the exhaust. The bike sounds mean, i think the pipe looks well (i especially think the stainless compliments the black of my bike well), and the bike runs very well with the pipe on with no other modifications!

Now onto pictures! Over thanksgiving i will try to find pictures of the welds up-close to let you know what i mean. As for now i only have pics of it installed.

Chin fairing won't fit stock which i don't mind. i think the bike looks better without.

here is the link to the sale post George made.

Nice post and pix. Looking forward to sound clip. BTW, GB has some clips over on Buelletinboard. The sound seems to be much less raspy than some of the other alternatives.

I happened to run into George a while back in a casino parking garage...I can attest that his exhaust sounds awesome! If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate getting one of his exhausts...

Can you point me to where that can be bought? Can any other aftermarket brackets be used? THX!
