Well Hawk Performance has opened up another can with the 1125 mufflers he is now offering for $240 (includes return shipping!). No numbers on gains just yet but I am sure with his previous muffler gains it wont disappoint. :)

Hawk Performance Mufflers

He is offering the same deal as the XB muffler at a little more price due to shipping charges and time spent on the muffler.

They come in two versions one is a road worthy version with his custom baffles and the other is more of a straight shot with the stock look so it can still maintain the belly pan needed for the track.

Here are some side by side shots.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought no one has ever proven in numbers that his pipes actually give a gain.

I believe it may have been fishgutz who had gains that he showed through a his dyno data.

The one from fishguts only shows the output...not a back to back comparison between stock and hawk. My butt dyno says at least some gain with my xb though.

As far as gains I am not sure where his dyne sheet on his site came from he said it was an '08 xb12 with K&N and his pipe, nothing else which gave the 9hp boost.

How much did the filter or the pipe do?? But guys like the sound so to each their own I guess.

you are having a laugh aren't you?
this is a much neater solution

I am confused? Albert we arent looking for that kind of solution. Noise and a little bit more HP is what we are looking for.

ah! cant wait for someone to post some sound clips!

the hawk on my xb is a bit too loud for my taste...im hoping this queiter street version of his 1125 muffler wont be too bad.

Will my bike automatically adjust for the hawk or will I have to download or buy preformance parts as well?

Like with adding any pipe it will run more lean. I am not sure how much the ecm will adjust to it, but I had heard that Randy sent one of these pipes to EBR to get an ECM mapped for it. That would be the best bet. Others have had success using the power commander as well as the protune.

So, to answer you question, yes, a tune would be best.

How much does an ecm from EBR cost? I'm just trying to figure out what the whole thing will cost me when all is said and done.

So if I'm hearing you right, no matter what exhaust I go with, Hawk, Drummer, HMF, or Keda ect, I will need to buy an ecm?

basically, it will run and it will learn it to an extent, you bike just won't be at its full potential with the exhaust and not the ecm, im ordering mine next week

Yes no matter what pipe u put on it, or even a K&N air filter it goes to the scary lean side. The 1125 ECM does not have the capabilty to learn such drastic changes in the fuel maps. Once you get the EBR ECM the bike changes so much you will wish u had bought it a long time ago.
