that has got to be one of the best looking tubers I have ever seen!

any chance of you selling some of those rear pulleys?
It looks like the ones offered by Dark Horse Moto, but the DHM ones are way out of my price range.

thanks a bunch.

I keep getting questions about making more pulleys... I may in the future, however the one I have pictured is a factory 61 tooth for my tube frame. The XB is a 65 tooth. Not that much of a deal though, just need to modify my cad data some. I had a friend machine the pulley for me since i didnt have a CNC, but i do now as of Dec 27th... I have a brand new CNC and CAM software.... now i just need to learn how to run it before the boss fires me... lol. Id have to price out material and such and see how cheap i can make them at.

Pur pony how hard was it to do the dual XB headlight conversion? Sweet bike bty.

Ralph S
01-11-2011, 03:02 PM
Upthemaiden, what fork and headlight are those, and what do you have for instruments?

pur pony
01-11-2011, 05:33 PM
Ralph S-

The XB headlight conversion was somewhat easy. I had to drill and tap three 1/4-20 holes in my X1 triple upper, and made a coupel 1/2 spacers and it bolted right now. Also had to drill and tap a 1/4-20 on the lower triple for the headlights.

the dash was a different story. I kept my factory gauges and deisgned the dash in unigraphics and grew it in a SLS rp machine. I then had to cut some of the XB metal housing out and welded 2 tabs on to bolt the dash in.

Once I swapped to the XB front end its all bolt on.

The M2 and S1 are carbed - i think the M2 is mid 9xHP

X1s are FI - pretty sure my bike stock is 103hp?

Not up to speed on the thunderbolts. I think the early S2 was carbed and the later S3 are FI

Cyclone, S1's, S3(thunder bolts) carbed. (im not sure if ne later model thunderbolts were FI but i dont think they were. X1's are FI.

I know my M2 was rated @ 92hp and 86 ftlbs of torque. I beleive the earlier tubers has less free flowing cyclinder heads and made a lil less power. I think it was 2002 when the began using the "thunderstorm" head design.
