I want to go to a Chain drive , I know what some will ask why. well it better and it is not . but I got the kit order and it come complete with different sets of gearing , What I what to know . the guys with chai drive . what spockets work the mest with most street riding . 48 tooth ??? I know stock is a 52

How does the chain conversion work? Every chain driven bike I've had has adjusters for chain stretch/tension, but that means the alignment can be off. Since Buells don't have an adjustable axle, do you replace the belt tension pulley with a sprocket and use it for chain tension?

yes it comes with a replacement tensioner that is for the chain and its a quick swap im also thinking about the swap but with my belt and the mods i have on my bolt 160mph is fast enough good luck xbwolf08 post some build pics

The only "better" I can think of with chain drive is being able to change your final gearing. I don't think it's worth it to have to deal with oiling the chain every couple days, replacing sprockets and chains when they wear out, etc.

This is the first bike I had with a belt. most of the other were chain. be able to fine tune gearing for the way you ride is the best part. do you want to go fast , or leave the line fast, .

The reason I changed over was two fold. I had broken two belts and found that I could get a chain at any bike shop but had to wait for a belt replacement, second was the gearing changes for track duty.

Hammer , that why I think I was thinking to.and for CB750 . I never ever oiled my chain that much on a street bike.

My last 3 bikes were old 70's models where you had to oil the chain often.
