well my trans started popping out of gear in second sit looks like I may need to rebuild it. anyone has done this before I would like to hear from you guys about it. I like to know how hard it is and what I may need, I know I will probably need a bunch of seals and gaskets but I don't know where to get the shift forks or rings.

def not fluid related. it had the right fluid, formula +, and it is only second gear which means it is most likely the shifter fork

I didn't change any trans components when i rebuilt my engine, but they're exposed as soon as you open the cases. No magical special tools that i know of. Always a good idea to buy the gasket kit $216 cdn for when you put er' all back together.
Changing the shift forks shouldn't be too much effort once you get the cases opened up. Check my rebuild thread for a couple of pics of the open cases.. Sorry i'm not much help, just sayin' it's possible to do it yourself. I would also think Harley could get your shift forks for you. Check with BuellpartsGuy? Best of luck. :)
