I was riding back from the gym on monday when as i entered a corner just heard the sound of a car breaking and a horn, full throttled to escape the inevitable, the bike spinned because of the sand on the road and i hit the ground, fortunate enough to be at only 20mph.

So in resume:

-My frame is dented and scratched thanks to the previous owner who didn't install the pucks right.
-My exhaust pipes are scratched
-I have lost my brake lever
-My homemade sliders did work fine so my swing arm and front suspension are ok.
-I dont have insurance since it costs aproximatelly US$6.000/Year in Brazil(just isn't worth).
-Right arm on a cast, some buises and scratches, since I'm stupid and was riding in shorts and T shirt...

So I need some help to know if it is possible to remove the dent from my frame, if are there aftermarket exhaust pipes that i could put, which brake and clutch levers can i adapt besides the GSX-R that need to be worked on the dremmel tool and where can i find those cool carbon fiber pucks.

Thanks to all and sorry for my bad english.

Damn sucks to hear!

You could wrap the headers if the damage on them isn't too bad.

Asb sells some frame paint that matches pretty well.

Yeah, i thought about wrapping my headers, but the one that comes out of the second cylinder is kinda dented, so i don't know if the airflow remains the same. After my right arm is healed i'll ride it and see if the engine responds the same as before. I'll see if ASB has the 2010 black frame paint. Thanks!!!

I don't think the shipping would compensate. And the bike is overall fine, the biggest problem is that little dent on the frame.

Thanks man, i'll take a look at them.

eBay has shorty levers for our bikes that are a direct bolt on, no mods! And they are cheap, like 50 shipped for the pair. I have them on my bike and they are great!

wow that sucks bro, glad you are alright though.

Post some pics of your headers, let us see how bad it is. I laid mine down a few years ago and I was going to replace my headers but i asked around had some people look and they all said you're fine wrap it if you think its ugly.

So, post up a pic of too so we can see how bad it is, and let you know

I think these are just for the normal S/R, but you could probably find something like it for your Ss. How much damage is on your frame? You might just be able to stick normal pucks over the dents and not notice.

i know if i ever dent my tank i intend to pay a pdr (paintless dent removal) guy to see if he cant pop the dents out using the glue on method. i mean even if it damages the paint its still easier to paint that side than replace a frame. idk if they have pdr stuff where your at (probably a dumb statement im sorry) but its a thought. it really depends on exactly HOW rigid the side of the tanks are. worth a shot

i bought my bike with a dent in the tank from lack of pucks. I filled in the dent with bondo, then used the frame paint from ASB, then put the frame pucks on.

or at least thats the plan, i started doing all that last spring, and have yet to finish it.... the bondo is basically done, i just need to sand it down really good, and make sure there is enough bondo to where the puck cant move around to much

I know "bondo" is a general term, but please dont use that brand as they test on animals.........lol. Jk. But that brand does suck. If your looking to just mud it up, use a good brand like evercoat. And if its a pretty deep dent, consider using a fiberglass enfused filler first for strength. Be sure to look up some "how to" youtube vids for proper application.

heck why do you think i chose that brand?! haha jk

but like i said i started the project last spring and basically filled in the dent and got it semi-smooth with the surrounding frame, but got unmotivated due to nice riding weather. besides having a pinkish blotch on my frame all summer i don't have to big of a problem with the brand, its held up fine, and is easy as pie to apply! I'm sure there are better options than the "bondo" brand, but IMO it isn't a bad brand.

The carbon fiber "pucks" are actually puck covers. They are designed to go over existing pucks. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Same month same bike same damage same faulty puck instalation. Just got done fixing mine and you can never tell it was dropped. Pm if you need help
