Hey guys I was taking off my exhaust the other day and one of the studs broke off with about 1/2" coming out of the head. I took it to a local bike shop, they couldn't get it out and told me they would have to take the head to a machine shop. They quoted me 500-800 to do this but I don't have the money for that. I thought of trying to find another head but I haven't had any luck. Anyone have any ideas?

there is a few things you can do depending on your tools and skills.try spraying some penetrating oil on it not w/d 40.zep or pb blaster work well tap lightly on bolt this activates the catalyst in the oil.get a vise grip or a stud remover available at napa or carquest and try to turn bolt.if this dosnt work get a small hand held torch heat up around the bolt and try again.when trying to turn be careful to not tear up the bolt.if these steps dont work find a machine or welding shop or a friend that can weld.and have a nut welded on to the broken bolt heat up around bolt and remove.
