1. First cut the vent out like so.

2. Then heat the vent and bend it. Use leather gloves!

3. Cut the hole in your snorkel

4. Use 40 grit sand paper to prep pieces for the 2 part epoxy. Make sure vent fits almost perfect. This will make for easier finishing.

5. You can use a hot glue gun to tack peices then use plenty of 2 part epoxy. Let dry. Sand. Finish with bondo glazing putty for small cracks.

Finished and install pics coming soon!

Its not done yet. It will be painted 2 toned like my bike. Should turn out real nice. Should finish tomorrow.

I figured they were some type of universal vents?[smirk]

I guess I don't know my vents.

I am trying to figure out a cool way to vent my chin fairing as well in the front. Maybe cut out a design in the front and line in with stainless mesh??? Hmmm.

Soo Jobe...... Is this a new thread? Please.. PLEASE..... PLEASE keep your build in one thread. Did you notice Bajabombers thread on his build? He did a lot of mods, yet kept them in one thread.

Go ahead. Put em all in one if you want. I am all for organisation. Call it "Jobey style" Lol! Or whatever.

This is a D.I.Y. How about a thank you for the contribution?

Dave's job is to help keep this forum organized so it would help if u put all this stuff in your original thread and if people seem interested then it would be a good excuse to start a "How-to thread"

If we had how-to threads on every little detail that people did to their bike, we would be cluttered.

But thank you for your contribution to the thread. For now i think people are starting to resent your work because of all the threads you start. Since you are new, keep things to one thread and watch how many followers you will have. And requests for how-to's will follow. :)

:D so i looked at the recently uploaded pics and seen these, yep it's good 'ol Jobe! How did I know it... putting vents... on vents... different, but cool man. Finished product? or are we waiting for that in your next thread :p

IDK. I think plastic welding is useful to people. It shows that even the average Joe on a budget can customize there Buell. I get my Ideas from others and tweek them a bit. I hope that other people get the same inspiration from me or BajaBomber or other Highly Skilled Fabers alike. (Not saying I am highly skilled as them) If anybody else is tired of seeing my posts lemme know. Give me a [up] or a [down] Ill do what the majority says. Vote now people! LOL!
