Well I tried going to a stock seat from my select in hopes to drop an in. or 2. It didnt help. :( So I attempted to lower my seat myself. Instead of shaving it I ditched the foam and used 1/2 in NASA memory foam. ($25.00 e-bay) The new seat is comfy. I wish I would have just used 2 layers. My cheek padding looks a little funny. LOL!

Totally un-related but check out this weld! I just had to pug it in. My Jardine can rocks now. Sounds a little deeper to believe it or not.

Seat looks good and the pipe is going to look great once it's painted.

Now lets see a better pic of those sockets!

Also got new gear wrenches'. My old ladies father works at harbor freight. %20 discount!

Not painting exhaust just yet. May polish it. IDK

Lucky! I've been eyeballin those harbor freight ratcheting swivel head wrenches.

There's your next project.... restoring that tool box. I just restored my dads old craftsman. It was fun and it looks brand new. Actually, i still have a few drawers to paint still... I should do that someday.

I just painted the outside of it black and hot glued my Buell Emblem s on. The box was silver and rusty. I like the look of the old drawers. Not going to paint them. Maybe just clean off the hundred year old grease :D

The colored sockets kind of suck. The anodizing scratches off very easily.

Good job, Jobe!
I don't know that I would have seen this DIY if it went a new thread? I can't see why it hurts but I guess it makes sear hing somewhat congested? Idk? Although, been thinking about same thing and this gives me a little more clarification.

Its actually very comfy and low. Went for a ride today. I reached the ground flat footed!!! I also felt more in tune with my bike from the memory cusion! Sounds gay but my butt feels great!

It feels great now, put a couple thousand and you'll find you'll want more foam (different densities) in different areas.

good deal. i intend to put one of those gel pads on mine when im building my "s" seat for my conversion.

did you have an equal gap all the way around?

It looks better in person. Pics are from a camera phone.

Yeah. Ur probably right. If I could go back I would have done the foam totally different. This is my first time doing a seat myself. It works for now. I may re-do it next year. Or just order a corbin. My ride height is 30.5 in. now. The corbin If I recall is 31.5.

So you have posterpedic balls on your seat? J/K you should check out seatconcepts. I got a buddy who bought one. He loves it.
