cyclegear, usually good deals, shippings okay and they mount for pretty cheap.

Last time I bought my tires I got them through jakewilson.com with a coupon code that made them the cheapest. The coupon is no longer valid, so when it comes time again to get new tires I'll have to shop around. Cycle gear was the cheapest place to get them mounted, I think it was $10 a tire.

I know I'll get crap for bringing up retreads.... but oh well, I was always on a budget and would buy Tomahawk Tires from Desser Tire Co.(They make aircraft tires mainly), and they are retreads. I had concerns at first but after using them I would never hesitate to do so again. I've known people that ran them only on the track(that's how I found out about them), they liked them because they could tear them up and they wouldn't run them up a fortune. They are very inexpensive, and very good for the money. I ran 2 sets on my suzuki bandit and got 5,000 miles out of each and ran them very hard. I've never had an issue, I wanna say the front was like $60 and the rear was $70, I think they ship free also. Just throwing this out there, might be worth looking at their website.

For the difference in price why would anyone want to risk it? I remember when retreads for cars were popular around here, so many didn't last they finally left the market for passenger cars. Well, at least I never see them advertised anymore.

Bought my Dunlaps from Chaparral Motosports last year. I'm pretty sure they had free 2 day shipping.

I buy from Family Powersports in Hurst, Texas . Got a set of Pirelli Angels back in november for $230.00 installed ! Went there last week and priced some Michelin Pilot 2CTs for my other bike , $225.00 out the door . They have great prices in my opinion. They have several locations in Texas. [up]

I cast another vote for jakewilson.com
I just bought a Pilot Road2 from them and have no complaints about the service, shipping or price. $142 to my door was the best I could find on that tire so JW got the sale. They seems to be very good on all of their tires and anything $100 or more ships free.[up]
They also has the Dowco tail pack for like $35 so I snatched up one of those as well as some saddle bags as well. Best $35 I've spent on my bike to date, that thing rocks!
As far as retreads, I don't trust them myself. I would sooner buy a used tire than a retread; just my humble opinion.

Hey everyone's entitled to their opinion, and everyone I've ever talked to about my tires also didn't trust them, but I liked them and had good luck with them. Also, you trust them every time you get on a boeing jet, and they have alot more stress running through their tires slamming down on a runway than motorcycles do on the street, lol. Also, just an FYI, retreads are very popular with large trucks, and very reliable, there is a misconception that all the tires you see on the sides of roads and highways are retreads, but the majority of them are not retreads, they are "new" tires. I learned about this in a transportation class I took and we researched a study someone did in NJ. Anyway, I'm not trying to get off topic or change anyone's mind, just wanted to put that information out there...

My friend swears by the Tomahawks. For the riding we do on Long Island, you can beat them. They last forever (even with burn outs), have great grip, and they're cheap. He's been through a few sets with not issues. I plan to use them when mine run out. $150 a set is sooooooo much better than $300 for pilot powers.

true those are more value oriented but i like michelin, they put allot of work into research and development for their tires and quality is a plus as well especially on two wheels. Thats just my opinion on it, im a michelin person all my cars had michelin tires on them with the exception of my explorer because i didnt have the money for AT2s and the BFG All-Terrains were on sale.
