So I had my swing arm replaced and belt changed at HD, I know big mistake. Anywho I noticed some oil on my muffler and didnt think too much about it due to refilling the oil up and thinking that some was spilled. After about 25-30 miles back from HD I saw that behind my drive sprocket it was really leaking oil which was coming down onto my muffler. Is this oil leak from thier doings? It wasnt doing it before but do any of u have a valid argument to make to HD so I dont get screwed. Thanks Buelljek

I think that the simple fact it wasn't happening before you took it in should be enough of an argument for them to fix it free of charge. It could be as simple as someone forgetting to tighten a drain plug all the way. It happens...

what do you mean valid.i would say it didnt do it before, you guys took the oil lines off and drained it so you need to double check everything.well mr buelljek we found the problem but its due to previous damage and youll need to pay.well mr service writer you should have caught that when you had things apart i will pay for the part but not your labor twice.or well mr buelljek we found the problem one of the oil line fittings or line is leaking heres your bill.well mr service writer it wasnt doing it before you had it all apart and its not my fault your tech made a mistake im not paying and i would like to talk to the general manager.or well mr buelljek we found the problem the tech didnt do what ever wright sorry for the trouble there is no charge.what ever the problem is they should have caught it and its a comeback.be polite until its time not to be.ask to see the bad part

Sounds likethe oil lines need to be removed and re-tightened. I had the same thing happen to my bike after I took the oil lines off to put the muffler bracket back on. If they won't fix it for you it is a pretty easy fix, but they should do it for you.
