Okay, so my ECU arrived today and the instructions state that I need to use a special tool to readjust the TPS for the bike after the ECU installation. What is everyone using or doing after the computer installation?

Alright, it looks like Harley is going to charge $80 to do the TPS reset. I guess I have to do it. I hate not being able to do things myself.....

Some shops use to offer free gps to get you in for a service....what's you're mileage? You also may consider a timing adjustment. I would hope they would check it with little to no cost if you ask.

I figured that is what you meant. Is there a list of Buell certified mechanics on the web anywhere? I would rather use a local shop than HD. They are little nicer on the pricing.

Claytucc3,might want to check out the Daves videos all in one thread on here. for your bike. It's not too hard to do. Do you have a lap top? If not (I) myself have actually done it manually. The ECM spy is FOR A TPS reset is pretty easy once you have the program set up on computer.Post up if you need an extra hand w/that. ~Jimi

BTW if your bike was running good starting and idles good before you did your mods. Put the ECM on and the other goodies. See what happens. If it starts, idles for a bit, nicely. You should be [OK for now].Eventually it's a good idea to learn the TPS reset. Take your time and enjoy all that Moolah that you will save for other things Plus a job done well!

I started it with the exhaust and it ran beautifully. Now I have a new air filter and a computer (once the right one gets here). I will see how well it runs like that.
