Why do so few buellxb'er

use rear sets (or am I just not seeing)? It's the first mod I do, I would not want to ride without them.....

most of the rearsets for the xb's dont really re-position the peg any higher for race purposes, and like he said above... too expensive, and no other real benefit. I am not even a fan of the looks.

Real rearsets look like swiss cheese so that you can make incremental adjustments to the rear peg.

I think all the available rear sets out there look hideous. as far as aesthetics the stock rearsets flow the best. the rest just make it look like they stopped designing and put up an unfinished frame.

I think they look cool on some bikes, but I've never seen any I liked for XBs. I think the stock pegs/brackets fit the lines of the bike perfectly. I also don't have any issues with grinding pegs on the street, so my pegs work fine. I did remove the stock feelers and replace them with shorter bolts, so I at least gained some ground clearance that way. If I wanted higher pegs I can always just trade to some firebolt pegs(I have a lightning now).

Also, there's a ton of stuff I could buy for my bike with $3-500 that would have more benefit than moving my footpegs an inch.

Too much money for NON adjustable pegs. I guess I am just too smart to blow money. Thats WHY I don't use them. Thanks for asking[up]

Gotta agree with everyone,way to much money for not so much bang.I got some LSL shifters and pegs from ASB and when I put them on I did the GP shift mod,1 up and 4 down,saves foot space while in lean angles in turns,not much spent and got more out of it in long run.just my 2 cents.

The only true benefit you'll have is on the track when you're riding at 110%. If you're riding a 110% on the street you're classified as an idiot not a racer. If you are going to buy rearsets make sure they are adjustable for your riding style whether that is street, trackdays, or racing. I've never found a need for rearsets on the streets.

I would way rather have some 2 in lowered Knight Design pegs for only $110.00.

Eventually I am going to mill out my stock set drop and polish it as well.

If I could find a set for around $200 that can use the stock peg setup so that my pegs won't break off when dropped/crash then I might. But $600 for what's out there..... no.
