Finally after a few years of drooling over firebolts I finally bought one. It's a 04 xb12r that needed a few things when i bought it. I've ridden a couple harleys and my buddies gixxer but this is my first bike. I'm in the process of painting it so i will be sure to put up pics when it's all finished.

Congrats & welcome!! Lots of knowledge around here! Watch launching too hard...Our bikes tend to have a light front end! :p

I've heard they have tons of torque.

That is very true...must be careful coming out of corners with gravel and salt on the roads this time of year.

It's a small world. Nice day to ride but unfortunately my bike isn't ready to ride yet because I have it all stripped down and waiting for paint

There she is. The bike was spray painted black by one of the previous owners and they put their own Buell decals on it. I'm currently in the process of painting the bike a combination of black and chrysler toxic orange.

I saw this one on craigslist! lol he wanted somewhere in the ballpark of 4 grand for it. Good luck on the painting. I just drove from tn to kansas to get mine. 3 days into it and Im having to order parts and the spy cable to get it to run right :( have fun with it :) I sure plan on doing it with mine. BTW i think you got a pretty good deal ;)

Yep I got it off craigslist and I only gave 2500 for it! Even though it needs some work I still think I got a pretty good deal. Good luck with your Buell! At least it will be a good running bike when you're finished with it!

Thanks. It will be a week or two before I get it finished. I'm pretty busy right now so i'm just working on it in my spare time. My goal is to have it ready for the street by may 1st

Take your time, no rush. I just got my spy cable and did the tps reset and ran it for a good thirty minutes and now she is :) to say the least. You have NO IDEA what you have to look forward too.
