Well after owning my xb12r I have noticed that the front fairing looks like its slightly crooked, almost like its turned to the left a degree or two. Everything looks straight but the actual fariing/bracket for mounting it. Is this adjustable or is something bent, or is it normal. Its something you have to actually stare at to notice it.

It's not adjustable. I'm sure Uve gone over it a ton but it may just appear bent b/c the bars and tire are never straight. If it were bent I would guess it's just after the mounting point or maybe the mounting point itself it bent. Start measuring fixed points on the left and right sides of your bike. Like the blinker arm to the front of the frame pucks or something along those lines and see if your #'s are matching up.

Sounds like a good idea. Thanks.

it's not bent it's for aerodynamics. think of it as like the old concorde jets where the nose points down. besides the front stay is magnesium it doesn't bend it breaks

Measure from the gas cap to either end point on the fairing.
That should give you a definitive answer.

sorry helps if i actually read the post you do have a little play in the mount to the frame. you can also can look to see if the bike has been laid down the hoop on the frame are usually the second thing to break and that might be what is causing that 2deg to the left

bike was definately down before. but appears to have been minor damage, mostly to the header pipe. I wont have a chance to measure until monday now though.
