My 06 XB12R came converted to chain. Any feelings/ opinions about this?

I was thinking of converting back to pulley/ belt.

What are the stock front and rear numbers of teeth for the pulleys?

Where do folks get their belts?

65/27 -great thanks!

Seems that they are out of stock just about everywhere... makes me think I want to stay chain :/

Does anyone have the tooth count on the 04+ belt? Shopping for after market...

Oh, sorry for the mini-hijack, but belt gets my vote. Quiet and no maintenance.

Yeah -I can get the pulleys cheap but the belts are expensive -$170, I would buy a spare... how often do folks go through belts?

My rear sprock is a 70 tooth! 3.04 ratio. It feels like your arms are going to pull off lol -will wheelie 1-4 but I think my top speed suffers drastically. I like the torque because this will be my 2-up bike BUT I need cruising speed for the highway.

So I will need a 56 which will have a close to stock ratio

The belt 04+ is 128 tooth 1 1/8 wide

Not sure if something like this would work? http://www.jpcycles.com/product/601-828?utm_source=googleproducts&utm_medium=cse

Americansportbike.com has them in stock and can overnight them for $45 if you need them in a hurry. I had a weekend planned around my bike last season blew the belt apart (already had a tear) and ASB over nighted the belt, I ordered it at 6pm EST and got it the next morning at 10am EST, had the belt on in 20minutes, and was ready for a weekend of riding.

just bought the stock pulleys (egay) and a belt to unconvert from chain.

Also bought a new chin fairing, frame pucks, brake pedal, belt guards, windscreen, K&N air filter, K&N oil filter, and ECM USB plug... working on new grips, pass pegs, spark plugs, bar ends.
...
Then the frame and wheels will be painted and she will get race tuned :p
