Fuel pump whine

Dumb question??
Is it normal to hear the fuel pump whine all the time?
I know when you first start the bike the fuel pump kicks in but mine seems to whine after the bike is started. Obviously I cant really hear it when riding but at a stop I can hear it.

yup some are just louder than others but perfectly normal

mine's been doing it for a a few months. periodically checking fuel pressure, it has been slowly dropping and currently at 30lbs of pressure at crank. Which is not good

Pressure Regulator probably. Need to remove the pump to get to it. Also could be clogged fuel filter and/or screen. I've got all three on the way and will be doing mine.
