who would be interested in being able to mount street fighter mirrors or really have the option between your stock xbr mirrors or sport bike mirrors and the option to mount the street fighter mirrors in the same location? just wondering if theres an interest out there for this.

Street fighter mirrors?
Sport bike mirrors?... I ride an American sportbike... it has mirrors. Wouldn't that be sportbike mirrors?
Not tryin to be an ass but what do you mean by sportbike and street fighter mirrors?

instead of just mounting mirrors meant for a 12r or 9r as in ones that have bases that have 2 threaded studs sticking out of the bottom, you would be able to use mirrors such as those on a 12ss, scg etc.. It would be a base for those mirrors to screw into which would give you the ability to basically use anytype of mirror depending on thread of the shaft. Just wondering if there would be any interest on this?

You'd have clearance issues trying to mount mirrors on your handlebars if you had the firebolt fairing. I think they would hit and restrict how far you could turn your handlebars. You could try some bar end mirrors though.

Maiden I think he means he's going to build a base for the firebolt that has a spot for you to screw in mirrors that will be in the same location as they are now...
I'm trying to picture how a bolt would look with lightening mirrors on top of the fairing... Looks like a soup sandwich.[down]

well it would enable you to mount any type of street fighter mirror and possibly custom mirrors as well not just a lightning, just thought this might be something anyone would be interested in. I thought the ducati street fighter mirrors were pretty sweet.

I don't have a part made yet just an idea, was just wondering if anyone would even remotely have an interest or is this just a waste of time.

Andrew. I say if you have an interest then make a pair. Post pics. And people can decide if they like em and want to buy them. You can't sell what you don't have.

OK, your post are unclear and I get the feeling no one understands what you are talking about.
So here goes my interpretation after reading it several times.
Firebolt mirrors, stock they have a flat mounting foot with two mounting holes like most "sportbike style mirrors". Two studs from the upper fairing are used to mount these "sport Bike Style" mirrors.
"Street Fighter" mirrors your referring to could also be called "Naked Bike" and also known as "standard bike" styles. Basically fairing-less or naked bikes with the mirrors mounting into the hand controls via threaded hole on brake and clutch perches.
What I think Andrew88M is trying to offer is an adapter. A flat 3 holed mounting bracket that bolts to standard "Sport Bikes" with fairings using the stock two studs protruding from the fairing to mount the mirror. The third hole would be for mounting/screwing in a "Naked or Street Fighter" styled mirror, where they have just hole they thread into so now you can use the single large threaded type mirrors on a sport bike that normalcy uses the flat mounting style with two holes.
I think I got it right and hope I clarified it for everyone for Andrew.

Ohh, and if your trying to gain interest in this, might want to title it "Firebolt mirror adapters" or something similar rather then just "parts?". My impression when I seen "parts?" was someone either selling used Buell parts, or someone looking for used Buell parts.
