I know the tire discussion has been beaten to death but I am thinking about buying a set of these from Cycle Gear. They are on sale for $170 shipped for the set. The reviews are mixed and I realized they are opinions. I am not an supper aggressive rider, I am just looking for an all around decent tire that will last a reasonable amount of miles. Anyone have any experience with these?

Personally I would suggest spending an extra $90 and buying the pilot road 2's ($260 shipped from motorcyclesuperstore.com)...I'm just shy of 10k miles on mine and they have tons of life left, plus grip is excellent for when I get out on the twisties over the weekend.

Or $254 from jakewilson.com. They used to have a coupon code that would knock another $20 off (jw009), but from what I understand it no longer works...

I saw that deal on Cyclegear.com I'm onto my second set of Diablo Super Sports, and will be buying another set for when my existing tires need replacing. $170 the pair is an absolute steal. I'm in Vancouver, Canada where a) our dollar is currently worth more than the greenback (a rarity!) and b) we pay more for everything than you guys in the States! So I feel I'm getting a good break with these Super Sports. I got well over 10,000 miles out of the originals and was very happy with them. I'm not an aggresive rider, so I would typically be kinder to these tires than most. But I would definitely recommend them for the price.

After much debating between the Pirelli's, Pilot Power, and Pilot Power 2CT's I ended up going with the 2CT's.

I picked them up from rockymountainatvmc.com for $218 shipped. I just felt that for the extra $50 over the Pirelli's and only like $20 more than the cheapest I could find the standard Pilot Powers it was the best way to go. Really don't hear much bad about these tires...

Hope I like them!
