New member from Portugal and a story about dreams...

Hi everyone!

My name is João and i've just bought a blue XB9R.

In my country Buell are rare and i was lucky enough to find two XB9R in a Harley dealership with less than 600 miles. Practically brand new...

When i was 15 i rode a Ducati and i set my mind to buy one just like it someday. I did and it's still in my garage. Same thing with a Buell. That strange but appealing bike i first saw in a Harley dealership some years ago. Immediately i asked the clerk for a test drive and in the next day i fell in love... From that day forward, when a bike discussion rose up, i always said the same thing: "One of the most exciting bikes i ever rode was a Buell". The dream of having one never left my mind although the hope of finding the one i rode was fading away. Today i can enter my garage and, among the other bikes and cars, i have these two bikes next to one another reminding me that youthful dreams can come true and that thought is enough to make me smile just about as much as when i'm riding them...

Cheesy story i know... :D

Bom Dia Joao, I picked up a like new '08 12S 2 weeks ago after being bike-less for 2 decades. I get to relive my "young stud" days all over again!

FYI - I think they call these experiences the mid-life crisis :)

Just register in the forum and i guess this is a great post to present my self because im a Portuguese guy from Portugal, the name is Jorge and i just bougth a brand new (yes is true..) Buell XB12 builted in 2007 and im hopeing to learn alot from you guys about it thanks in advance ;)
