Hey guys.. My bike has been sitting all winter (in New England) without being started and I did NOT prepare it for the down time or the weather at all. I know... bad! She obviously will not start among other things her battery is dead which is an easy fix my issue is the fuel!
I don't think there's a lot of fuel in her right now and when I did run her I only ever used premium. I'm well aware that I need to drain the tank before I even attempt to start her but is there anything else I should do to prevent causing more damage? Is there a way to clean out the fuel lines or something I can put in the tank when I fill it back up to clean the system? And should I do anything else before I even attempt to start her?
Please help! Thanks.

I would drain the tank and put a gallon or so or premium in it and try starting it. Prob. not a bad time to swap out plugs out. Once you get it running I would change all the fluids and go over the whole bike making sure everything is up to par.

Yes drain the tank and next winter store your bike with a full tank. With the tank full it leaves on room for moisture to form from weather changes.

charge the battery and ride the damn thing. I gave up on Sta-Bil type products- I parked my Buells, garden tractor and everything last fall with partial tanks....fired right up.
