Hello Guys
I'm posting these in search of someone had (badly) experienced the same thing because I'm totally depressed!!!
Last three I felt a big explosion on front cylinder and the bike stalled. I've fired up again and I noticed one cylinder wasn't starting. Thinking this was just a fouled plug, I bought new ones and starting to do the spark plug changin once I noticed the front spark plug was completely out of the cylinder with no tip at all. I just tried to put a new one and its impossible to fit the new one because the spark plug doesn't screw well (it never ends screwing!!!!). What can I do to solve this issue??

um...sounds like you might have thrown a rod and the piston hit the spark plug...I'd see if you can have a shop take a scope into the front cylinder and see if there's any damage on the interior. Or of course you could always rotate the engine and see if you can get into the front cylinder without taking the whole motor out.

May have blown the plug and stripped the threads in the process, in which you could Helicoil the stripped hole to fit the plug.

had the same thing happen to me.i used the timesert kit on mine this winter and fired it up a few weeks ago after the repair. worked like a charm. just rode it today and still runs like a top. just a little work since the engine has to come out to do it. but i didnt have to take the heads off to do it. the kit was 150 with inserts, and i looked at the helicoil version and was not impressed, so i went with timesert.

Thank you 07xb12sgrin for your message. Could you send me pictures or web sites where did you buy the kit. I really apreciate. I'm planning to do the job myself but I do not want to mess up the repair.
Thank you guys.

For those who repaired the threads by using the time-sert kit, could you tell me the kit part number and the lenght of the insert (9mm or 15mm)??
I really apreciate your help.
