Naked is good!

Too bad the kawi Z1000 isn't more popular. Over in Europe most of the bikes are naked.
 
I know I would not mind having one minus the exhaust. Or a fz1 o fz8 once they get the cross plane crank.
 
You think that cross place crank is gonna stick around??

Always liked that CB1000R, but I think I've still got a soft spot for the z1000
 
Yes because every moto gp team runs them now or v4s kawi tried a flat plane engine this season but changed it pretty quickly. The R1 has done well in all racing series and even if you look at the comparisons the lap times are better then other brands with more power and less weight. but i guess we will have to wait and see.
 
i was planning on getting one this spring.until i found out they detuned it to 130 hp.someone always finds away to screw up a good thing
 
its not necessarily detuned, they tuned it for more low and mid power than the 1000rr. Just tuned differently.

I too think they should have used the same engine. CR is 11.2 vs 12.3. 125hp doesnt sound anywhere near as fun as 178. i would like to see the dyno charts with rear wheel power overlayed.
 
also they de-bored it one mm and increased the stroke 1 mm
I think it only made 109hp at the wheel pretty sure thats less then the 1125cr, duc street fighter or the speed triple..
