I took the MSF skilled riders course last weekend, it was fun. I never took the beginners course.

But the people where were in the class with me said it was very similar to the beginners course only you got use your bike instead of a buell blast.

I took the Basic MSF course on Fort Meade this past week. I have been riding for 10 years but since I live on a military base now they require it. It was a really good course, only 2 of use showed up so I got alot of ride time in. It was nice considering I just got my xb12r and it was the first street bike I have ever owned and it gave me a great chance to become really familiar with the bike. They required you to have your own bike. I highly recommend it even if you have ridden for years, its a great refresher.

I am taking the Experienced riders course through ABATE this June. Figured it would be nice to brush up, and hopefully learn some new things. Learning is never-ending...keeping it going.

The Motorcycle safety school (where i took the MSF basic rider course) doesnt offer the intermediate or advanced class at my location. One of the instructors there told me they can teach me whats in the class or I can sign up for another private lesson and tell them what I want to work on and they'll gear the lesson to it. Of course this wont help if you are looking to get a break on your insurance that you might get with accreditation from passing the upper classes.

I was looking into taking the Total Control (http://www.totalcontroltraining.net/)course, which gears race techniques to street riding, but i'd want more experience before I gave it a shot. I met Lee Parks at the International Motorcycle Show. He seemed like a pretty cool guy.

Great info guys. I wasn't sure if MSF offered an advance course. They are who I took my basic through, so I will check in to it. Thanks

OCROFT... and everyone else...woohoo! i took the msf rider course last year, great class, did it for my dmv waiver, in a little over a month however i am going to willow springs raceway for their "california superbike school" its a hundred dollars more than the rider course, except your at willow springs, on the racetrack... im really friggin excited, you have your own private coach, who rides behind you and critiques your every move, going over entry exit speed, lines, everything! there are four levels, each the same price, there are two day camps, there is also a "slide" bike and a "lean" bike to get you used to the feeling of both that cannot be tiped over or layed down, you can ride your own bike, which ima do, or you can ride there brand new bmw 1000 rr, this class is the ****.. look it up, they do them all over the country.. be sure to sheck out the slide and lean bikes while your there.. www.californiasuperbikeschool.com i believe they are done at all the major tracks tho, not just in cali, theres one in alabama, and i think georgia, and a couple others, if there isnt one near you, hopefully it'll @least point you in a better direction with more bang for your buck [up]

JASON.... that sounds awesome and will def. be on the list. I want to gain a little more experience before I start trying to carve up some twisties.(that's what I really want to do) however, there are not many twisties around central FL. Thanks for the idea[up]
