I was thinking about getting some crossroad bars and was wondering if anyone has had problems putting them on. I read they can be a pain and some have said there just bolt and go.

No issues with mine but routing the clutch cable can kinda be a pain. I would suggest drilling into the front housing and installing a grommet to run the cable thru. Will free up any binds it may get from bending it around with out doing that.

Do you have to drill into the headlight housing or is that just an option?

just an option. some have had binding issues others haven't. I have not and all i did was re-mount everything. then rode 6000 plus miles with issues.

Do you have to drill to fit the 1125cr bars, or is that re-routable as well? I really want the firebolt top triple on my lightning, but I'm not one who likes to drill/cut into my stock pieces, so I feel like I would've done better to go with one of the other options. I'm debating trying to find some normal clubmans, you can buy them new for $25.

CR clubmans, or just generic 7/8 bars? Eventually my hope is to replace the stock headlight with a round light like the tubers had. If I do that all the previous issues with the flyscreen housing/clutch cable will be resolved
