Wasn't bad at all. Tapped in to all the wires under the screen. Picked up mine used from a member here for $50. These aren't water proof btw [sad]

What's the use/function of these?

It's simply a programmable light indicator of when to shift so that you're not starring at your tach in stead of the road (plus it just looks cool) :D

It also helps if you ever let anyone ride your bike that's used to a higher redline. 7500RPM comes pretty fast when you're used to shifting at 14k RPM!!

Don't mean to thread jack but do you really shift at 7500rpm??? I shift somewhere between 3500 and 4000.

Not normally but if you're really on it or racing etc. I think I have my light set at 6700RPM or so...

I bought a syna shift minder shift light off flea bay..got screwed again,he said it was complete and would work on a v twin.it got here and no bracket so I made one, the wires were cut so there is no plug going to the light(he wants $5.85 to sent me the plug!)no instructions but the worse it says base line 6000 rpm 4 cylinder on it.
I tryed asking the co. if it would work and for parts and instructions a few times with no responce..so I guess I have a $65.00 light for looks only!
