On the updated EBR website under motorcycles it lists 3 future models, the RX, SX, and AX. I wondered if anyone had heard anything about these?

Interesting. I'd guess that the RX is the production RS, the SX would be like the Typhon, but drawing a blank on what the AX might be. Sport touring?

Just as long as one of them is naked and affordable, I'll be excited.

I was thinking the RX might be race, SX streetfighter, and AX all-terrain. Idk, either way it's going to be badass. [up]

I'd imagine, he's converting the RX-firebolt style, SX-lightning style, and AX Ulysses style to go along with the RS-1125 style
anyone think maybe he'll push into those dirt bikes they were talking about oh so long ago?

Wish I was rich enough to have like 10 bikes then I'd get one for sure. $40,000 is a lot of scratch :) For half that I'd have to go with the BMW 1000RR or Aprilia RSV4.

It's not very intuitive, but if you click on the yellow bullet points on the right side of the webpage, you can scroll down to see more info on the RS.

With Rotax as the engine supplier, a dirtbike doesn't seem that far outta question

What's up with that exhaust hanging out the side? Isn't that anti buell technology?

that is to make it street legal to meet epa noise requirements. If you look closely, it's easily removed and the main muffler is still under the bike

I asked Erik on facebook a couple months ago about a thumper motard and he just winked at me. Take that for what you will.
No matter what he come out with, if it's affordable, I will bust my ass to get one.

I would buy a buell motard in like 5 seconds.

My best guess would be
RX-road cross (sport touring or maybe a lightning/1125cr type bike)
SX-sport cross (sport bike like a firebolt/1125r)
AX-adventure cross (like a ulysses or maybe an endure/motard set up)
But only way to tell for sure is when they are revealed or leaked out somehow

there will only be 100 of the rs's produced. limited time only. i think erik is getting the funds together to start manufacturing. 2 years and buell will once again be available for purchase... this time without the HD leash around its neck...

I hope every model comes with a big FTF stamped in plain sight.

EBR is planning for 4500 RX's to be built next year.
Erik wants to compete in WSBK in 2013 and to do so they will have to build/sell 2500 bikes by years end.
There was a leaked video on youtube but it was pulled.

How about a price point?

There was an article in a magazine I read recently. The RX is going to be the same bike as the RS, except instead of carbon fiber, the body will be plastic, and the suspension will be a less expensive version, and there were a few other changes, but essentially the same bike. The price point was going to be set to compete with other exotics like the Ducati Panigale, Aprilia, MV, etc. (around $20K)

That's pretty much what I thought. Too much for me :( It'd have to be a $10k bike to even be considered by me......good think I like my firebolt lol, I might be hanging on to it forever haha.
