I've been looking to upgrade for a year and I've finally found an 1125R close. It has 15,600 miles, clean paint and title. Asking price is 6 grand. Looking to Jew the place down to 4,500-5,000. Good price? Yes? No? Are they asking too low? Might there be anything wrong? Any help is much appreciated.[cool]

good luck talking them down, lowest I've seen is 5700 and the guy needed money for a surgery

ask if the recalls were done

iv seen them with less than half those miles go for 5000-6000 i would say 4500-5000 tops.there are quite a few out there with under 5000 miles imo look a little longer

lookin for something close to home, too. This bike is about 40 miles away. I trust NOBODY with my car and I don't have a trailer hitch to pull it home on a trailer. I can live with biting the bullet for 40 miles though.

Someone thinks their car is top notch, what kind of car do you have man?

Also 5000 to 6 isnt that bad if the bike has been taken care of and the recalls have been done already. Good luck getting them to drop it to 4500. 5500 is probably your best bet and that would be a fair price. anrkizm95 just thinks everything needs to be free :p

I bought my 09 with 3,800 miles and not a scratch on it for 5,300 a month ago today. I say pass, better deals will come.

I say sell you dick in Vegas to a bunch of 80 y/o widows for the next 3 months and pick up a 1190RS. I would, but my wife knows Kung Fu, and doesnt like to share.

I just dropped a friend off to pick his up. He got an 09 1125cr for 5900 cash. It only has like 750 miles on it.

@ Loki, it's an 05 Chevy Malibu Maxx LTV6. Not alot made during their 4 year production run so I'm a little protective of her.
@ upthemaiden, I'm in southern Kentucky so I do use some terms that the south still uses(whether politically correct or not).

I appreciate all the help and info. I don't know alot about depreciation on motorcycles so this is helping alot.

Seems a little high. I picked up an 08' R with 116 miles for $6100.00 on ebay, shipping cost $500.00. Yes make sure all the recalls and updates are completed.

Could be a little high, but if the bike is in immaculate condish, maybe not. I bought my 09 Cr with 2300mi for $6k even. It didn't have any of the recalls done and I have since upgraded my voltage regulator and hope the stator will last me through the riding season. Bikes will run forever if taken good care of, like any vehicle. It depends how bad you want it. I can promise that anrkizm is right and you'll be able to find a bike with an equal or slightly varying price with lower miles.

The question is, can you wait a little longer to find a "better" buy, or do you have the 1125 fever and have to have the bike now? Either way, you're going to love the bike! Good luck!

or do you have the 1125 fever and have to have the bike now?
[up] ive over paid for plenty things before and it was worth it to have it right when i wanted it.you might have to wait a month or two to find a lower price with lower miles.loose some of the season but spend less and have a lot less miles.tough choice

I hear that! Tough choice indeed. Either way, he isn't going to regret it once he jumps on an 1125. Little extra maintenance and attention is required, but well worth it!

agreed, you could def find one for around $5000 with way less miles
