Hi guys, i noticed today that my xb9 turns off by its own on N or 1st with the clutch in going slow or in a complete stop. Also, today was a really hot day and my bike was a bit hotter than usual so could that be a factor? The motorcycle is an 06 and has only around 2000 miles. Anyone had any problem similar to this?

I've experienced similar symptoms. It progressively got worse with time until I managed to find the source of the problem. The culprit, in my situation, was a crimped ignition wire in the main harness that runs along the frame and into the headlights. I found this by shaking the handle bars left and right while running. If the engine skips or dies, this might be something to look further into.

The red oil light comes on and just stutters and turns off. I thought maybe its because of the heat cuz it was a really hot day yesterday, around 100 degrees, and when i take a really long ride and then stop it doesnt turn off as fast. Which led me to believe even further that its the heat and the long journey simply cooled it down a bit.. i dont know if im making sense lol

Check your positive battery cable make sure its tight, then check the two grounds on the side rails. Those have to be very tight.

Also under your pulley cover there are three wire connectors, put some electric di grease on those and make sure they are snapped together properly. That should do the trick. If it doesnt, then there may be an issue with the fuel pump, but not likely.

Also just to rule it out tps reset, and I am assuming you have checked your oil level/quality... if your oil is sludge because it hasn't been changed in forever it may be another cause
