I want to do something like straight pipes with flared tips like you see on harleys. is this possible?

i would like to know about this too as i am going to do one can you tune it to run with ecm spy?

My buddy did it...woah loss of tourque with stock ECM but man, sick sound flarrin out that beast

Yes it can be done, but the big question would be is WHY? You'd see power losses almost everywhere, maybe a small gain in a very small rpm range and it would run like poo (figuratively speaking) most of the time. You'd need to calculate the length/diameter for the rpm range you want to run and then tune the ecm to match. Yes, tuner pro will do the tuning part, but wideband o2 sensors would be a must.
To each his own for doing mods, but if you want flare tip exhaust like what's on a HD, why not just go buy a HD instead? The 1125 is oriented to performance, not cruising a barcalounger.

Im with d_adams. However, if you do feel that this is a must for your bike, I can help you get a wideband setup together and tune the damn thing.

Ill post some pictures of mine. It is basically a straight pipe w/ a reducer inside. Sounds AWESOME and I didn't notice any performance loss. But I do have an 09 and that is my only mod

Realistically, if you're after "loud" then do a 2-1 system. Not only will you get the loudness you seem to be after, you'll gain some performance, maybe a lot. It all depends on either how you build it or have it built. What I make WILL get a huge gain on any 1125, it's been proven already and it was by design.

Ahahahahaha! Good one mang! One of the things I love about Buells is that they don't have that annoying 110 Db wet farting sound going down the road at 30 mph! :)

It is gonna be a pain in the butt to get that thing maped correctly. If you are going for just looks, go for it. Me personally I would only perform mods that will increase HP or torque.

i wanted something that was different and looked clean (my stock exhausted is getting rusted) i love the exhaust on the video but i will not except a power loss

I am looking for an exhaust for looks and to sound like the one in the video. More Specifically the idle. I'm not concerned about power losses, juts concerned about getting it running properly enough that I dont screw up the engine.
