I've got a pair myself and love them. Taking to the guys at SportBikeTrackGear they showed me a pair that had been worn on a nasty high side. The gloves had a few scratches but nothing serious and the knuckles were fine. Seems to me that you should be fine 98% of the time in the event of a crash.
