Have a 03 Buell Xb9r with jardine exhaust, filter, race ecm. When it is up around the 5000 rpm it wants to pop some. It does not pop on low end or at high either. I do have the qmi on the jardine exhaust. I know it is probably a lean condition. Is there anybody with this same prob? Is there anything i can do? I also did have the tps reset after doing all this. Thanks for your help!

1. did you run in closed loop after the reset?
2. did you do this with before or after you installed the qmi?

after a reset, the ecm needs some time to learn how to compensate the changes made to your bike.
you need to help him by trying to ride the bike at about 3000rpm and preferably at a steady speed.
this for about 10-15 minutes
acceleration should be calm and slow during that time, not going above that rpm range.

Well i ended up taking the qmi off and it ran ok. But is pretty loud obvisously. I have a question about the 3000 rpm how is that going to help for driving that 10-15 mins? doesn't the race ecm automatically program? and if you have to do that do you have to do that right after the tps reset? thanks again for the help

the ecm needs a chance to learn after a reset, which is why it needs to be done directly after a reset.
