Hawaii safety inspection

Does anyone have a hookup for Hawaii "safety inspections" on the Island of Oahu?

I'm planning on doing quite a few mods in the near future that I am pretty certain would never fly in a real safety inspection.

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of mods are you looking to do or are they just that hard on the inspections.

Copy/paste from what I found online - this is what the safety inspection looks at:

-headlights can't have that blue tint to it, hi and low beam

-horn works

-exhaust can't be blatantly loud

-tire tread

-no fluid leaks

-license plate placement - can't be tucked far under the tail. must have red reflectors on the rear of the bike and the plate must be illuminated.

-insurance and registration

-turn signals have to be DOT and functional. (They have to have amber lenses, btw... No clear ones, even if the bulb is yellow... Sometimes they let it slide, but not always.)

also, turn signals cant be flush.

Do you have a car that has had a safety inspection done? It has a list on the back of everything they look for.

In all honesty, as long as the bike isn't obviously breaking the rules, they won't care. Last 2 times I've had mine check all they've done was check the lights/turn signals, and your paperwork. If that's all in order you're fine.

I'm in, can't do this weekend but can probably do sometime next weekend. Think there are a couple other people on here that are on Oahu too.
