Their site says to use the 12 cell, but isn't the depth too much? Will it fit?

check this site out, you can input which model bike you have and find out which battery will work for it, the Ballistic should fit without any issues though...based on a XB12ss, if that's what you have, but go through the list to be sure and use google for a length conversion chart to be absolutely sure before you buy the battery, good luck

i have the evo2 12 cell. it went in just fine....i used the packing foam that the battery came in to take up some of the extra space. i didnt fill it in completely, as i plan to use the extra space to carry some extra things along....i just have to figure out what exactly i want to carry.

Well, that was a huge disappointment.
I threw in the battery (tiny and super light). Hook it up and go to turn it on. Tries to crank and everything dies. Odd, but the lights and everything start right back up. Try to crank it again and she fires up. So I thought maybe it is just first start jitters and after I ride for a while she will be charged up and good.
I go ride for 30 minutes. Stop, start it back up and she fires up.
Ride another 20 minutes. Each lunch with a friend come back to it an hour later. Lights turn on, go to start it and it dies. This time it doesn't light back up or want to start. Zero lights or any electricity. Double check fuses, ground and connections. All good.
Take the bus for another back to my apartment and grab old HD battery. Take bus another hour back, throw it in and starts up like a champ.
POS battery. Put in a call to the owner and I will update you on what he says.

I should also say I tried a ghetto test and hooked up a computer fan to the battery to see if it would power it up and no dice.

I'd be interested to know how it turns out for you as my cousin was talking about putting one of these in his softtail.
