motor knocking, time for parts

yup after 70k glorious miles the buell started knocking. need some help trackin down a stock rebuild kit for a 04 xb12. havnt tore it apart quite yet , so i dont know the extent of the damage. but any info on part suplliers would be great

best I've seen is scavenging from everywhere, or sending your engine into nhrs for a rebuild

I think they might have the parts they use listed on their site, but I haven't actually looked at it in a while

could also talk to J.E.T. I know thaey do rebuilds

I bought my rebuild parts right from HD. If it's knocking-you may need to purchase a new crank. Comes with Pinion side bearing and connecting rods. For the low price of about $1000. ouch. Full gasket kit was $216...
Hope the damage is minimal, but hey, you got 70K out of er'!

its not knocking bad, its a quiet knock lol. so i dont believe the damage is bad. i have a guy that can possibly rework the crank if it isnt badly scored. **** while im at it i will velocity port the heads haha.

Fock, can you post a quick Video. There's a couple guys on here who have recently posted threads regarding noises in their engines and mine is making a knocking sound as well. Took it to HD and mechanic said everythings good, engines just clunky. Just curious what yours sounds like.
