Anyone here have a datatool digi gear indicator on there ride? and how was it hooked up? I have one and went with the instructions, soldered all the connections to the plug in back of the clocks. It will get 1st, neutural and 2nd but weather on stands or road, will NOT get the rest. Ive tried going from 1st to 2nd then back to neutural then 2,3,4,5 like was suggested on the web, Even tried different RPMs from 1500 to 3k but no joy. I had the idea of just sending a siginal to it by activating the speed pickup and tach with some pulse generator. maby using ECMSPY in diagnostic mode. If anyone has this problem, please chime in. Its driving me nuts

weather = whether

I would start with you solders, not trying to bash but are they good? Did you double check all connections? What about continuity between the points?I have never seen this, throw some pictures up, it sounds interesting.

Was looking online and theres no connection dia. for a 04 xb12. The sheet that came with the unit shows an 03 xb9s and states all connections go to back of clocke except for Tacho pulse, going to grey plug on ign. pack. Is this off the coil as theres no tach on the grey plug at the ECM. Just a pink with tacho out on the black ECM connector.

I'm going to lurk on this thread 'cuz 1) I want to see what your install looks like, and 2) watch for problems. Truth is though-on the Buell, you got "start," "go," "go faster," "cruise," and "highway.". If she's lugging-downshift, if she's howling, upshift.

But I like gadgets.

Just an update on the install. Got it to work with a bit of fiddlin on the pickups. All the conections are the same as per the instructions but the Taco pulse goes to the Grey plug at the ECM #3, green/white wire. spliced it in from the from under the gauges to under the airbox. Ran the programe and it dialed right in. Needless to say im a happy camper now.

I'd like to see it. Also do you have a link to where you bought it?

In for pics, and if you can, a walk through. Just for gadget factor, this would be cool. One of the few gripes I have about the bike is the lack of a fuel indicator, and a gear indicator.
