My 03 XB9R is awesome and I love it. It is my first Buell motorcycle. My only complaint is my ass is on fire after I ride it for a while. Some stop and go traffic and some cruising down the road at 65. I can live with my leg being a little hot but is there anything I can do to keep the seat from getting so hot?? Does the fan run while riding? It runs when I shut the bike off but I don't notice it while I am riding. Any suggestions would be great.

Get a bigger right side air scoop and some of the heat barrier stuff from Americansportbike.com. Contact member lefox for rss info

they make a comfort kit witch has a heat sheil on the header and a right side scoop that cool the rear cylinder. it makes it much more comfortable. your can also just get the right side scoop off a uly

It should kick on when you're riding. Mine does after a while. Just depends on how hot the bike gets.

Preparation H or something like this should do the trick.

I really don't think it's that bad. Just on the right leg mostly. Nice in cold weather at least.

yea i never get too hot to the point where i feel like I cant ride it. A right side scoop will head dramatically and as far as your right let burning on the frame, frame grips from asb will solve that problem.

I was disappointed, I thought I was going to see some hot chick in this thread :(

I noticed when I put on my pegasus rss that my ass was hotter when riding, my guess is the air brought in by the rss is forcing the hot air out where the fan is directly to the seat. I'm going to do the spec ops heat shield, it isn't unbearably hot I just notice its hotter than before.

Thanks everyone. I knew someone out there would know. I didn't even know that website for special ops exisited. I will be buying the heat barrier stuff. Sorry for the disapointment with the heading of "hot ass". I should have posted a pic of a girl with a great ass as well! Thanks again - Paul

try sticking ur left hand down between the rear tire and tail section at 60 mph, nothing but hot air after the motor warms up,,,
