I was out riding yesterday, and When I came to a stop, it sputtered, died and didn't want to start. Once I got it started, it started to idle fine, but still seemed under-powered. Then, on the interstate, when at speed and giving it gas, it would kick and backfire. Then got off the interstate for 2 lights, fine. Acted up again on the third.

I'm guessing TB gaskets? It is about time @ 15K, I think. Already planning on a big project on her this winter to include this and MUCH more, so no biggie. What problem do you think?

Try a TPS reset first Especially if the Engine is not Starting properly, HOT or Cold. Then check the plugs. I forget what year and Mileage your bike is so post up after Reset. Hope that works you shouldn't need Throttle Body seals/Gaskets. Maybe Intake Seals hope not. *Jimi

Have you checked your battery connections and grounds to be sure they're all tight? Could be as simple as that.

Sounds like what I just went through. I did a TPS reset and it ran perfect.
