I was going to do my HID install today but realized I don't have the right tools (is it a 27 torx bit?) to remove the screws holding in the housing. I am also not sure even how to get to them easily?
What do you guys do to remove it?
Thanks.

seven screws and one plug.
pull the 4)bolts off the wind screen off then there are 2)bolts on each side of the head light disconnect the white plug to the head light then there is 1) bolt on the bottom of the head light. done

Ya it is those 2 bolts on each side of the headlight assembly that I am struggling with. I can't seem to get a tool to reach or fit in there. Maybe I need a short nub torx screw driver or something.

With a reciprocating saw.

if you have a craftsman driver go through the head light adjustment holes on the side of the housing. if you're using a 1/4 ratchet stick the socket in the 6 point screw then stick the extension through the head light adjustment hole.

There is a 90 degree T27 tool in the OEM tool kit you can use.
