Can anyone tell me what the buzzing noise is that I sometimes hear coming from the speedometer area? I'm guessing its normal. I just wondered what it was.
Thanks, Birdman

You're hearing the fuel pump. Its actually under your seat in the frame.

Thanks Dave, I could have swore it was coming from around the gauges. But I'm guessing you've got your four stars because you know what your talking about. I noticed while riding the other day my engine light came on, and it was riding like it wasn't getting enough gas or air. I let off the throttle a little and it quit. But then when back on the throttle it hesitated again. Its tough to explain over the keyboard. At first the red light started flashing, then stayed on after that. After riding it at a lower rpm for a couple of minutes it ran fine again but the light was still on. After a couple minutes of average riding I hit the throttle hard for a second or two, and the engine light went off. No more issues after that. Any ideas?

I think a flashing CEL means the engine is overheating... Not too sure though, if you can plug the bike into a comp and pull some codes. See what the ECM says.

I had same noise. I installed new horn and the noise started. All i did was loosen horn mount and turned it forward a bit (away from bike. outward) and it stopped. Good point on fuel pump dave xb12r, mine is kinda loud on my 04 12s. Kinda driving me nutts.
