the more i learn about bikes the more i love mine. even with all the bull**** i have had to deal with from harley in the early days. i mean come on "self adjusting hydraulic valves" adn a no maintance or adjusting almost all the bike. who wouldnt want that ya know. adn the fact that it doesnt matter your age or riding style it fits it all. someone remind me again why harley cut buell out. im thinking ebr should hook up with s&s adn take over the world. hmm i need to write mr. buell a love letter "in a strictly moto head standpoint" me thinks heheh.
on a side note ill be at road atlanta the weekend of oct 27th fro the races adn pit help so look for the short half bald bearded freak serving drinks adn hot dogs to the crews. only took almost 40 years but im finally gettin into what i want to get into fro a living. it took an economic cluster**** to get there so there is a bright side to gettin screwed over by corperations adn govts right lol.

Well, this is a sore topic. We all love our air cooled motors, but those days are over for buell. EBR is doing race bikes only now and there is no room for air cooled bikes in the superbike world. EB actually wanted to do the 1125 from the beginning, but harley forced them to do a air cooled bike to keep it harley related.
The Buells are a work of art, but I feel it's going to turn into "Indian Motorcycles" type.
The only thing we can do now is just keep them alive and keep having fun. Hopefully EBR will come out with a new bike that we can fall in love with all over again. When out Buells get aged and wrinkled, we can trade them in for some hot 19 year old blonde and have our fun all over again. It's the american way!

Yep, like Dave says, air cooled VTwin is not the way to make an efficient high performance bike. Even the best water cooled Vtwin sport bikes have their hands full with the inline water cooled fours or V fours.
Erik will never go back to an air cooled bike again sorry to say.

motosexual......im diggin it we must make t-shirts. could be the next **** happens fad lol.
air cooled twins are a thing of eb's past adn i hate it. of course there is a reason fro it. but gzsrs' are too high pitched adn monster's are a pain to adjust valves. nothing has the just right ride postions liek buells.

I keep wishing EBR would make a new aircooled streetfighter lineup. I know it will never happen but I just can't see myself moving to a high rpm motor for street use. My buell XB12 has the power right where I want it. I tested a CR and was disapointed with its streetability. I guess I will just have to wait for yamaha to bring the MT-01 stateside when I need a new bike (not soon)

Erik will never go back to an air cooled bike again sorry to say. i have to disagree with this statement . I had a meeting with the man himself awhile back and he clearly stated his intent to produce a high performance "air cooled " bike once again..............i'm just screwing with you, i can't sleep and lack of sleep makes you do stupid stuff ! Hey it's either this or have relations with the wife ! I love my XBs also, look at my screen name !
