Hey guys,

One of the bolts on my flyscreen has stripped out. The PO cross threaded it. After unscrewing it several times, it has finally stripped out.

It's currently no big deal... I take out the other 3 screws, then just rotate the flyscreen to get to the "brains".

In a week, I'm taking all the plastics off for paint, I think I'm going to have to drill out the bolt and replace it.

Any ideas on:

1. where to get a new bolt?

2. what to do about the cross threaded mess that the PO created? Ever after I've got a new set of bolts, I have to Fix the cros threaded nut(?) that it screws in to.

Thanks for the help guys!

1) Mcmastercarr.com or any good Hardware store.

2) Drill the hole in the module (flyscreen mount brkt.) out oversized and put a nut and lockwasher on the back of it.

Edit: After modifying: To take the flyscreen off - take the other 3 bolts out first, loosen last bolt as much as possible; then rotate windscreen to hold the nut and take the last bolt out.
