Ive got a 03 xb9sl with the stock low and hard seat, im looking for one thats alittle more forgiving on the longer trips. Im 6'1 and skinny so I dont care if the seat is taller, just so long as it has some more padding on it

Awesome bike! I have only seen one xb9sl online for sale in my life, and it's cool you have one. Not to thread jack, but they only make a small number of those!

now I'm really confused, I also want to replace my stock seat with something more comfortable, but don't want to spent 400 bucks to do so...I to have asked for an alternative to my stock seat...posted that thread for BPG and never got a reply from him on the matter, found that part number through searching other postings, sorry about that...

(Un)fortunately you get what you pay for in life. Nice things cost money and nice things that are uncommon cost lots of money.

That said I feel for you. I have an iron a$$ and really do not care about comfort as it is most often thought of. I struggled with this same issue and in the end I chose Corbin as I have a hafh a dozen times over the last 25 years.

Mike Corbin has been in business for 43 years and was building seats since before I was born. It was the single most costly mod I made to my STT at $550 (leather and made for my bike) but worth every penny.
